| （1.School of Physical Education，Central China Normal University，Wuhan 430079，China；2.Beijing Sport University，Beijing 100084，China） Abstract: The authors investigated and analyzed the current state of participation in outdoor activities, and revealed the following findings: the people participating in outdoor activities have such characteristics as being younger, having higher cultural caliber, and drawing a larger economic income; experiencing nature, pursuing fitness and ac-cepting exciting challenges are the main motives for participation; most of the participants are lacking in related knowledge and skill training, while the activities are lacking in certain organization and management, needing to be further perfected. |
