| (Department of Physical Education, Beijing Institute of Education, Beijing 100009,China) Abstract: The author introduced sports education mode established by famous contemporary sports scholar Daryl Siedentop, and carried out the research in terms of the meanings, purposes, objectives, contents, and characteristics of sports education mode. The introduction of sports education mode provides scholastic physical education curriculum in our country with the modes for operability of the reform of scholastic physical education curriculum, diversity of objectives of sports involvement, objective of social adaptation, as well as physical education and sport education of humanities, and also provides a reference for the revision and perfection of the new curriculum standard in our country, PE teacher’s teaching operation and innovation, and the reform and implementation of scholastic physical education curriculum.
