By analyzing statistics in the medal list of the 29th Olympic Games, the authors revealed the following findings:1) no major changes have occurred to the overall competition structure of world sport; 2) Europe is still the center of world competitive sport; 3) world sport maintains such a trend of polarization as “the strong becomes stronger, the weak stays weak, and the difference between the strong and the weak is significant”; 4) world sport is in a transmutation period of polarization escalation and order reconstruction. |
