| (College of Physical Education，Shandong University，Jinan 250100，China) Abstract: From the perspective of philosophy, the author probed into the issue of physical education and competi-tive sport in such two aspects as “truth” and “goodness”, and clearly pointed out that physical education and com-petitive sport are respectively the spiritual product of scientific rationality and individual freedom, and that these two kinds of spirit are exactly the core and dualistic spirit of western philosophical culture, which imply that it is important to genuinely strengthen physical education and competitive education in an educational environment. |
