| (College of Physical Education,Hunan Normal University，Changsha 410012,China) Abstract: The authors studied the influence of Confucianism on current development of peasant’s sports, and put forward the following conclusions: The “temperament” philosophy is an important factor that affects peasants in selecting an approach to sports; the “courtesy” culture has a certain influence on peasant’s attitude towards participating in sports; the “golden mean” thought is the key factor that affects peasants in selecting a sports expression way; the “happy” thought plays a role of supporting the motive of peasants to participate in sports; the “straightforward” thought has decided the attitude of peasants during sports activities.
