Research on the realistic dilemma of outstanding retired athletes' teaching and its general solutions under background of the integration of physical education and cultural education ZHAO Junhui ，HU Xiaoqing

Abstract: It is an inevitable way to solve the dual problems of "retired athletes re-employment" and "shortage of physical education (PE) teachers in primary and secondary schools", and also one of the key goals to be achieved by the policy of integration of physical education and cultural education. Promoting outstanding retired athletes to become physical education teachers is of great social value to realizing the development goals of school sports in the new era, improving the level of school PE teachers and improving the employment of athletes. However, at present, outstanding retired athletes still have some practical difficulties to become a PE teacher, such as imperfect supporting policies, mismatched teaching ability and inappropriate teaching projects. Based on the above difficulties, this paper proposes specific relief strategies from the four aspects of policy guarantee, project adaptation, cultural education and school-based training, in order to provide guidance for promoting the implementation of the integration of physical education and cultural education policy, promoting the smooth teaching of outstanding retired athletes and improving the development level of school PE.
