(Division of Physical Education, Qinghua University, Beijing 100084,China) Abstract: In this paper, by means of material analysis, investigation, comparison and so on, the paper makes a comparison of such aspects as target of physical education, précis of physical education, teaching of physical education, after—school physical activities and gym teachers in Chinese, Japanese and German schools. The study reveals that, at present, the target of reformation of school physical education in our country should be mainly to buildup constitution; the students’ ontic sense, fair play and development of personality in physical education have not been emphasized enough within the target and task of education; low quality of gym teachers has in some level limited the implementation and development of physical theory and practice.
