Retrospect and prospect of the research for Xi Jinping's important discussions on sports work FU Qiuyong

Abstract: Xi Jinping's important discussions on sports work is an important part of Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and provides a fundamental basis for the development of Chinese sports in the new era. Based on the literature analysis method, this paper reviews the research status of Xi Jinping's important discussions on sports work from the four perspectives, namely formation conditions, main characteristics, significance, and practical paths. Through combing and analysis, it is found that the existing research has problems that the content needs to be deepened, the vision needs to be expanded, and the method needs to be broken through. Future research should explain the microscopic problems from the content, to enhance the academic and innovative nature of the research; break through time, space and discipline from the perspective; and the boundary is extended to the international and interdisciplinary fields before the 18th national congress of the Communist Party of China; it strengthens empirical research and quantitative research from the methodological point of view.
